SuccessFactors Company Settings

Understanding Company SettingsWorkflow-Helps in customizing SuccessFactors per the company requirements.

  1. Business Rule Execution Log – Creates rules to be traced.
  2. Company Dictionary –Is used to identify data and configuration inconsistencies. Add words, create handouts.
  3. Company System and Logo Settings   Use this page to set the company logo’s URL and integrate with all outlook account.
  4. Configure Business Rules For Position Management and Time Management.
  5. Configure Change Engine This is employee change engine. Make changes like Manager change, job code change, location change, matrix manager change, county change, incentive plan change, status change, incentive percentage change.
  1. Configure Job Profile Acknowledgement Settings –  you can create a job profile acknowledgement rule, set trigger acknowledgement and set acknowledgement statement
  2.  Configure Object Definitions – Contains picklist
  3.  Cross Talent Feature Settings –  Admin feature that Enable/Disable Cross Talent Features
  4.  Data Management –  Used to create Purge rules like purge learning, purge development, purge goals etc. Purge rule is not performed until approved by approvers.
  5.  Data Privacy Statement – Use this screen to edit the content of the Data Privacy Consent Statement and manage its related settings.
  6.  E-Mail Notification Templates Settings – Use this page to edit notification templates.
    Use checkboxes to turnForm Template Settings email notifications on/off. Email notifications with a check next to them will be sent to users when the related actions occur. Default notifications are shown when you scroll down.
  7.  Event Center – Used whenever some changes with respect to job occur.
  8.  Event Notification Audit Log,  Event Notification Subscription
  9.  Extensions – Has market place, takes you to external content.
  10.  File Storage Management – Has documents, has sorting options.-

  13. Integration Center -The Integration Center is designed for simple file-based outbound integrations.
  14.  Job Profile Acknowledgement Report – Use this page to view the report of acknowledgements including status.

  1. Maintenance Monitor – Use this page to approve, cancel or review data or user maintenance requests. Note that all requests will go expired in 14 days without being approved or rejected.

  13. OData API Audit Log ;  OData API Data Dictionary  and  OData API Metadata Refresh and ExportThis  will list the data entities in your system that are available through the OData API and describe the fields in each entity. Has export functionality.
  14.  Org Chart ConfigurationYou can configure org charts look and feel, the fields that will show up.
  15.  PGP Key ManagementThis is a tool where you can create file encryption keys for use in other SuccessFactors Admin Tools — such as Simple Integrations. You are able to create new encryption keys, import keys sent from other sources, and export your keys as .pub files.
  16.  Password & Login Policy Settings   Use this page to set the Password Policy. Like age and length of the pw password, special character, upper case / lower case and so on.
  17.  Performance Management Date RangeIn this area, enter the date range that will determine which forms to include in the Dashboard page and the Form Status section of the My Forms page
  18.  Picklist Mappings Use this page to set up picklist mappings to other entities in the system. For example Type of Housing, Type of work — contractual etc.
  19.  Picklists Management Import a CSV file to create new pick lists and/or remove the existing pick lists. You can change anything.
  20.  Platform Feature SettingsEnable/Disable Platform Features

Rating ScalesYou can select/ define rating scale for performance and the measuring parameters.Rating scales are used throughout SuccessFactors within forms.To review rating scales you have already built, click the name of the rating scale. You can edit or add to your rating scales. If you want to create a new rating scale, just click the Create New Rating Scale button.
  1.  SFAPI Audit logInterfaces on internal SF applications.
  2.  SFAPI Data Dictionary –  How you connect, this cannot change.
  3.  SFAPI Metering Details –  This has timeline.
  4.  Text ReplacementHere you can replace certain words in the application with words that you prefer.
    If you do not want to replace a word, then leave that “Replace With Text” entry empty. For example – Manager with Supervsior.
  5.  Theme Manager –  manages all the themes, you can change it for all the users anytime.Themes determine the look of your SuccessFactors pages. You can assign any theme to be shown to a specific group. The theme marked as Default is the one that’s shown to everyone else. You can change themes as often as you like.
  1. Upload Company Logo – You can upload the client’s logo.Click browse to find the logo image you want to personalize SuccessFactors with. Select the file, preview and click Save!
